Irrigation Planning and Scheduling

Climatic conditions - Potential Evapo-transpiration
(ETO) is the most commonly used parameter. It is measured by a Class “A” pan or calculated by applying the Penman-Monteith equation.

Soil moisture sensors - engineered to monitor volumetric water content of the active root zone.

Plant parameters - dendrometers supply indirect measurements of the plant’s water potential based on diurnal changes in the fruit or trunk diameter.
